Portable Pixel Playground to visit Whitehaven's harbour Hub
Archive | events | 2008
Free public event
A curious new sight will grace the water front of Whitehaven for one day only on Thursday 28th August, as folly brings its Portable Pixel Playground to The Hub overlooking Whitehaven's harbour.
Children of all ages and nimble adults alike will be able to play on the "Laughing My Guts Out " sound sculpture, an artwork by Andy Best and Merja Puustinen which looks like a Bouncy Castle but with an artistic edge.
Everyone will appreciate the tablet laptop games on show, where you can create an M.C. Escher style bizarre 3D landscape of impossible staircases and structures, and then create a cast of characters to walk around and fall off of them.
Turn up at The Hub (which will provide shelter from the weather) between 12 and 4pm on Thursday the 28th of August - Portable Pixel Playground is suitable for all ages and it's free! The Hub is at the meeting of the East Strand and West Strand.
