Broadbandi is more a marketing term than a technical one since no definitive definition exists. Commonly it has come to mean a technology such as ADSLi that provides a higher bandwidth (i.e. 'faster') connection from a customer premises to the Internet. Some Internet service providers have used the term for connections as low as 128kbps, while speeds are offered at the time of writing (2007) up to 24Mps in trials.
