The Art Gene Open Prize Exhibition showcases the work of professional artists and architects who were born, live, work or who have studied in the North East and North West regions of England. The focus of this year’s selection is on works that engage or reference aspects of the ‘Social and Built Environment’. The prize is a two month research residency at Art Gene, an on-going experimental art research project and studio facility established in Barrow-in-Furness in 2002.
