An array of interactive thaumotropes fill the gallery window facing inside and out. Their solar powered spin governed by the strength of the passing sun. Each device contains immaculately detailed hand painted miniatures as seen from the bay window of the artist’s studio overlooking the Firth of Forth. At once fleeting, ephemeral, these paintings begin to turn as the visitor approaches. The everyday suddenly appears magical. The sound of the artist’s thoughts drift through the air. Discover the hidden patterns, the loops, the mysteries in these endless (extra) ordinary moments.
