3Destruct by Crea Composite

3Destruct, by Crea Composite (Thomas Vaquié, Jérémie Peeters and Yannick Jacquet), is a huge 3D screen made of mosquito net strips hanging from the ceiling. Animated and abstract images are projected on it and you can enter the screen and walk around the mosquito net labyrinth, following your whim, other visitors or the source of the accompanying music.

I'm really interested in this work so for a better feeling of the experience go to the artists site and watch a video at  http://www.crea-composite.net/anglais/biennal_LLN-english.html

I think that we should be looking for a single immersive installation piece for one of the shows within our new presentation space at The Storey.  I think the small space is conducive to one really strong piece rather than a collection of works with a really immersive feeling about the work. Its ideas about completely misplacing you and throwing notions of reality up in the air are really exciting and something I feel we could offer visitors an experience of at The Storey.   Whats also interesting to me is that it seems to essentially be an infrastructure ontop of which there a huge alternative possibilities for content/story telling etc.
