I thought the 'Hidden Meaning' one could be interesting, and not just for clothing. I imagine it uses shades of colour, such as some yellows that human eyes are less sensitive too, in a similar way to the new coloured bar codes.

Step Online
Step Online is an online gallery designed to showcase UK based Asian art/artists new to exhibiting on the web. In April 2007 visual artists across the UK using digitali media were invited to submit their work. The opportunity was open to emerging and established visual artists working in a variety of media who are new or beginning to explore exhibition online and aims to:
Opensourcery
http://thesystemis.com/opensourcery/
opensourcery is a magic performance created by Mago Julian and Zachary Lieberman which marries camera based technology with old fashioned close magic to create a new variety of tricks. The work uses custom based software, written with the openframeworks library, in order to take a live video image and manipulate it seamlessly. This software is completely open-source (thus the title) and designed as a starting point for imagining a new language of tricks and techniques for magical expression.

Second life Music Festival - safe and dry!
This rather amused me...its from Glasswerk.co.uk's e-zinei, which I am subscribed to:
"I've done a count and I reckon there are at least THIRTY UK festivals this year which is a mark up of 15% on last years figure which by some calculation means that by the year 2019 the planet will be consumed by an almighty festival lasting the entire twelve months. Bring it on!
The one festival that stands out the most for me personally is the online festival called Secondfest. Sponsored by The Guardian and Intel, Secondfest took place in an online community chat roomi called Second Life. “Online? Festival?” I hear you cry, what's the point in that?
Pay your mobile provider to use your broadband connection
mobile technologyMobile networks are eyeing a new(ish) technology that can put a mini mobile base station in your home. This is being sold on the basis of providing better connections, especially high speed data connections, to those who otherwise struggle to get a decent signal. Interestingly the units, generically known as femtocells, use an existing broadbandi connection to route the calls from the mobile phone. This is not to be confused with VoIPi, where, at least for computer to computer connections, the call is effectively free. In the case of femtocells the calls are routed via the Internet to the mobile providers networki and onwards as per a normal mobile call. The calls, therefore, are likely to be charged at similar rates to other mobile calls.
Sonicforms
Sonicforms is an open sourcei research platformi for developing tangible interfaces for audio visual environments. The aim of the project is to improve this area of musical interaction by creating a community knowledge base and open tools for production. By decentralising the technology and providing an easier entry point, artists and musicians can focus on creating engaging works, rather than starting from the ground up.
Sonicforms exists as; a central repository for others to learn how to make their own interfaces and share their experiences, a set of tools and strategies for extending open source software to create these projects and a physical installation that will be exhibited showing other artists creative content through online submission.

Stephen Heppell
I think this is an interesting extract of Stephen Heppell's blogi after he became involved with shaping the specification for the 2012 Olypmic Media Centre. It is a good illustration of the challenges we face in terms of designing a new fit for purpose new media space for 2009 and beyond.
