Artistic Programme
folly aims to develop, commission and deliver artistic content across a range of media through the presentation and distribution of projects developed by and in partnership with UK and international artists and audiences working on the edges of emergent practice.
folly wishes to support work that enriches lives and encourages people to engage with Media Arts activity through projects that place great emphasis on process, production and participation.
folly is interested in how society makes sense of the world through art and technology. We wish to work across sectors and challenge traditional arts values by acting as facilitators and producers of engaging and rich experiences, enabling artists and audiences to rethink content, value and meaning of the arts.
folly works at the heart of the creative process in partnership and in dialogue with artists, curators and audiences.
folly is a socially driven organisation that promotes the use of FOSS and democratic technologies in the creation of new work.
We believe in the power of networks and communal thinking and take a collaborative approach to developing projects.
We aim to lead the way in rethinking art in today’s global society by challenging artists and audiences and driving new approaches in the creative use of new and emergent technologies.
