IP

Internet Protocoli refers to the standard technolgies and technical specificationsi that facilitate the routing of information between networks via the internet. It works by splitting data into 'packets', sending these 'packets' to their destination via different routes. An IPi addressi is attached to each of the 'packets'. Arriving out of sequence the 'packets' must then be rearranged by a TCP (Transmission Control Protocol). IP is essential to the running of your email account for example.
