DREAMS Project with Mossgate Primary School - The Beginning!

I will be shortly working with Mossgate Primary School on a project called 'DREAMS'. With the use of ICT to communicate,  such as video, audio, blogging, email, photos, website, etc the DREAMS project intends to capture reflection and evaluation and how it can be used to support, promote and extend deeper learning.
 
Starting this Tuesday, and the following 8 Tuesdays after, I will work alongside all classes capturing sound and images (still & moving) that can be used to document the project. I will also work alongside children/staff where appropriate to use cameras to photograph/video.

I will film discussion groups in each class talking about their enjoyment, ideas, thoughts, etc related to the project. This will continue near the beginning, middle and end of the project.

Filming done one week will be prepared for use in classes the following week as a way of stimulating reflection and evaluation. This session itself will be filmed for future CPD with staff in evaluating the power of using film to create deeper learning. The filming will also be used for the final documentation.

Later in the project I will have a session with each class to show/explain how I created parts of the documentary, such as the year 3&4 animation. Teachers can film this, again for inclusion in the documentation of the project & possibly for children to go back to (like a visual manual) to use or aid evaluation.

I'm really excited about this project and enthused how creative it could be depending on how it all pans out. Watch this space as I'll continue to blog my, and the projects development!
