Feedback Introduction
WEEK 3
I recorded some more footage of the kids working on their art projects, years 5 and 6 were busy drawing their shells on large pieces of paper whilst reception were drawing a huge treasure map. Year 1 were busy making a house of of sticks, whilst year 2 were excitedly building a rocket which would take them to far and strange planets. Years 3 and 4 particularity interested me as they were working on environment changes, making pictures using different materials to show different landscapes, from populated but polluted busy cites, to natural grassy landscapes.
After filling my cameras and camcorders with lengths of video and pictures, I was able to introduce my introduction to the teachers. I received some great feedback and worthwhile discussions about how the project could develop. I'm really happy they liked the documentary so far, and since then there's been much more golden footage to build on.
The children are much more use to me know, and stop constantly staring at the camera or shying away which is brilliant. I'm able to get much more natural comments and reactions to the art project, as well as footage of them ignoring me and continuing with their work. Hopefully this will continue throughout the months.
It's half time for the school next week so instead of filming I'll be busy sorting out the footage into clips and building on the documentary. Till then watch this space!
