Kid's say the funniest things...

WEEK 1
 
My first day of filming Mossgate primary school went according to plan - although I could never have predicted what the kid's views would be!
 
I filmed every class, from reception to year 6, working on different art projects. The teacher from each class took out 5 or so kids and asked them questions about the art project, such as what they enjoyed, why they thought they were doing it and what they've learnt. It was really interesting to see the different responses from different children, and different classes. I will come back to the same children mid-way through the project, to see if their views have changed, and reflect on what they have done, including the teachers.
 
A few of the kid's comments particularly ticked me:
What have you most enjoyed, so far, about the art project?
"Making the dream catcher, so now I won't have bad dreams"
"Glueing and sticking. I like glueing and sticking."
"Getting out of numeracy"

I really enjoyed my first day filming, and I hope things carry on as smoothly! Next week I'll be filming the children hands on with glue and pens, plus the teacher's views on the project - should be interesting, although I doubt they'll say anything as amusing as the children!
