Time Pieces Exhibition - Call for Submissions
Live at LICA at the Peter Scott Gallery
The notion of time is difficult to pin down and has been provided with a variety of definitions and manifestations. Inspired by Live at LICA's recent explorations of time and duration, Peter Scott Gallery will present an exhibition of work made by contemporary practitioners responding to time from March 2nd to April 2nd 2011.
UK artists working in all disciplines are asked to submit up to three works that explore notions of time for consideration by December 8th 2010.
The exhibition will coincide with the display of Gathering Time, an archive taken from a year-long performance by artists Elizabeth Willow and Jonathan Raisin, commissioned by the Nuffield Theatre, Lancaster; and will also coincide with the Making Time conference which will look at issues relating to the subject of time in art. The archive, conference and exhibition will be organised by Live at LICA in collaboration with Elizabeth and Jonathan.
