Two New Members of Staff to Add to the Mix at Folly
Folly is delighted to introduce two new members of staff; Mei Yee Leong and Oyunga Gombo-Ochir who join us through Future Jobs Funds as part of the folly's Predict scheme.
http://www.folly.co.uk/programme/predict
Predict is a programme for developing the next generation of arts leaders, supporting young people to excel within a future job market and imagine new horizons within the arts. Predict offers mentoring, internships, work placements, trainee positions and volunteering opportunities and develops relationships with further and higher education providers.
Mei joins folly as marketing assistant, where she will support the overall promotion of the organisation and its' activities.
Mei returned home to Lancaster this Summer, after completing a Bsc in Multimedia Technology. As part of her dissertation, she created promotional materials for a band, which helped nurture a life-long interest in marketing and advertising.
Not knowing what she will do next the future is as always; unknown, and ready to be written.
Oyunga joins folly as Digital Participation Assistant, where her main objective is to support multi-partner activities aiming to empower marginalised groups to engage online with confidence through art.
Originally from Manchester, Oyunga studied Design and Art Direction at Manchester MET. She is a practising artist involved in graphic design and producing books, as well as knitting (in particular, beards!). Not content with just promoting her own work, she developed a great interest in other artists and the gallery sector.
